The MC3 Institute has an undergraduate research assistant training program for University of Washington (UW) students, designed to provide exposure to clinical and/or translational research.

Emily Gong, former undergraduate research assistant, sharing her poster at the 2023 Merkel CELLebration. 

Undergraduates in this program gain valuable hands-on experience by managing our comprehensive patient database, contributing to research projects alongside Institute members, and supporting patient outreach. This program equips students with skills that often lead them to successful careers in medical or graduate school. 

This position is currently hiring and will remain open until January 9th, 2026. 

Details:

  • Two paid positions, part-time during the school years and full-time during the summers
  • Start Date: March 2026
  • Application Window: Closes 5pm on January 9th, 2026
  • Eligibility: Must be a current UW undergraduate student. Preference will be given to those with a graduation date of 2028 or later, as a 2-year commitment is required.
