Congratulations to Haroldo Rodriguez, a PhD student in the Molecular Medicine and Mechanisms of Disease (M3D) program and member of the MC3 Institute, on the successful defense of his dissertation titled “Characterizing the Role of Tumor-Specific B Cells in Merkel Cell Carcinoma Disease Control.”

Haroldo conducted his research under the mentorship of Dr. Paul Nghiem at the University of Washington, and Dr. Justin Taylor at the University of Virginia.

His defense took place on Thursday, October 9, in the Brotman Auditorium and was followed by a joyful celebration with family, friends, colleagues, and mentors—complete with cake and piñata.
